Teleoperation Using Video Prediction by Taking Network Delay & Jitter into Account
My summer 2025 internship project at Nokia Bell Labs
Teleoperation becomes challenging under real-world network delays, which can fluctuate unpredictably. To address
this, I developed a Unity- and WebRTC-based prototype that measures real-time delay and predicts future video frames,
enabling smoother remote control. This work was guided by Dr. Vasu Vasudevan, Elangovan Manickam, Mike
Coss, Dr. Larry O'Gorman, and Dr. Lars Andersson. I received the "Global Student Program 2025 Outstanding Innovation Award" for this work from Dr.
Thierry Klein, President of Bell Labs Solutions Research.
